All participants should note that they should report to the worksite sharp at 8.00 am.

Each one should carry atleast one litre of drinking water for themselves and one time minilunch/heavy snack for themselves.

No high-heel sandles please! Please put on your trek shoes if possible or sturdy sandles or chappales. Head gear is must as you will be required to work in open.

During monsoon months, do not carry umbrella. Windsheeter is Okay.

Do not put on your Sunday bests. You are required to work with soil so the dress will get dirty.

Follow the instruction of the Volunteer.

 

 

Thane Nagari plans a grand welcome to New year on Gudhi Padwa under Shri Kopineshwar Sanskritic Nyas

 Thane City is known for its vibrant cultural activities.

One of the annual feature of these activities is the “Indian New Year (Gudhi Padwa, Chaitra Shudha Pratipada) Welcome Procession” taken out by all the participating cultural and other social service organizations in the city with floats, placards, etc, depicting their respective activities. Hariyali has been a regular participant in this activity with its float highlighting various aspects of its environmental activities.
This year ‘Gudhi Padwa’ shall fall on Friday, 23rd March 2012. An appeal and invitation from Shri Kopineshwar Sanskrutik Nyaas (the co-ordinating organization) to participate in the New Year celebration and exposition of various activities of the social service organizations in Thane is attached.
Members and patrons of Hariyali are requested and invited to participate in this event in a large number.

Dear friends,

Hariyali – the Thane based NGO working for environmental protection, development & awareness has begun its activity in Mulund area on the ITI Campus since 5th June 2010.  In addition to its focus on seed collection, sapling making & tree plantation, Mulund unit has been successful in development of more than 160 varieties of Medicinal Plants having great value in Ayurveda – our ancient medicinal science.

We are pleased to introduce Hariyali – the Thane based NGO dedicated to environmental protection and development for the past 15 years.
Haryali is active in Mulund area – operating its plant nursery on the ITI Campus.  The Hariyali Mulund members have been successful in development of more than 160 varieties of Medicinal Plants.  This is in addition to its ongoing activity of seed collection, sapling making and tree plantation with the help of its members and students from various schools and colleges.
